Head of IT (Software Developer)

Job Summary

The Software Manager is responsible for planning, developing, managing, and delivering software projects. This role ensures timely delivery, code quality, and alignment with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the software development team (developers, QA, designers).
• Plan, execute, and monitor software projects from requirement to deployment.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather and finalize software requirements.
• Manage project timelines, task assignments, and resource allocation.
• Review code, conduct performance evaluations, and mentor team members.
• Ensure proper testing, bug fixing, and release management.
• Maintain software security, scalability, and performance.
• Prepare progress reports and present updates to management.
• Collaborate with IT, QA, and Operations teams for smooth deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering.
• 5–8 years of software development experience with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
