Head of Marketing & Growth

Job Summary

The Head of Marketing & Growth is responsible for owning the full go-to-market strategy, user acquisition engine, and growth economics of the business.

This role is accountable for scaling the platform in a structured, measurable, and capital-efficient manner , ensuring that growth is not only achieved, but achieved profitably and sustainably .

The position combines strategy, execution, and analytics , with a strong focus on:

  • Performance marketing
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Funnel optimization
  • Unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback period, retention)
  • Growth experimentation

The role will lead marketing efforts beyond brand and social presence, building a data-driven growth engine that drives user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

1. Go-To-Market Strategy

· Define and execute the overall go-to-market strategy across all channels and user segments.

· Identify target customer segments, positioning, and acquisition channels.

· Develop clear market entry and expansion strategies (local and international where applicable).


2. Performance Marketing & Acquisition

Build and manage performance marketing channels:

  • Paid social
  • Search (Google)
  • App acquisition
  • Affiliate / partnerships

Optimize campaigns based on:

  • CAC
  • Conversion rates
  • Payback periods

Continuously test and scale high-performing channels.


3. Growth Funnel Optimization

Own the full funnel:

  • Awareness → Acquisition → Activation → Retention → Monetization

Identify bottlenecks and improve:

  • Conversion rates
  • Onboarding flows
  • Feature adoption

Work closely with product to improve user experience and conversion.


4. Unit Economics & Growth Analytics

Define and monitor key growth metrics:

  • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
  • Lifetime Value (LTV)
  • LTV/CAC ratio
  • Retention and churn
  • Payback period

Build dashboards and reporting frameworks.

Ensure growth is aligned with profitability targets.


5. Experimentation & Scaling

Establish a structured experimentation framework:

  • A/B testing
  • Channel testing
  • Pricing and messaging experiments

Rapidly test, validate, and scale winning strategies.


6. Brand & Positioning Alignment

· Ensure all marketing efforts align with a clear and differentiated positioning.

· Work with content and social teams to translate strategy into execution.

· Elevate messaging beyond generic financial content to strong product-led narratives.


7. Team Leadership & Capability Building

· Lead and develop the marketing team, including upskilling in:

  • Performance marketing
  • Data-driven decision making

Introduce structured processes and accountability across marketing functions.


8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with:

  • Product → improve activation and retention
  • Data → analytics and attribution
  • Finance → align growth with financial targets

Ensure marketing is fully integrated into product and business strategy.


9. Other

· Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience

· 7+ years of experience in marketing and growth roles.

· Proven track record in:

  • Scaling digital products
  • Performance marketing
  • Growth strategy

Experience in startups or high-growth environments is strongly preferred.


Education and Certification Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field.

· Advanced degrees or growth certifications are a plus.
