Head of Marketing - Hospitality Group in Africa

Apt Resources is seeking a passionate Head of Marketing to lead the marketing efforts of a large and diversified business group headquartered in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in promoting high-end luxury lifestyle brands, hospitality and Supermarkets.

In this leadership role, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and digital marketing strategies that align with the organization’s overall objectives and strengthen brand visibility across the market. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing initiatives effectively support product launches, drive customer engagement, and contribute to achieving business growth targets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive and digital marketing strategies that enhance brand recognition and market share.
• Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and performance.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer insights, and opportunities for growth.
• Oversee the execution of all marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing.
• Analyze campaign performance and provide insights to optimize marketing efforts and ROI.
• Collaborate with product development and sales teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives.
• Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.
• Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head of Marketing or similar position, preferably within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or lifestyle brands.
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media and content marketing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Willing to relocate and work in Congo (DRC)
