The Head of Presales Engineering is responsible for leading the presales engineering team, collaborating with the sales, product, and technical teams to provide tailored solutions to clients, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with customer needs. This role requires a strong technical background in data centers, hyperscalers, AI infrastructure, and colocation solutions.


ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Lead, manage, and mentor the presales engineering team to effectively support the sales process across all product and service offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise on the design, specification, and implementation of complex data center solutions, including hyperscalers, cloud, and AI infrastructure.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing Syntys' technical capabilities and value proposition.
  • Oversee and drive the technical evaluation process, including solution architecture, design, and project scoping.
  • Engage in discussions with senior leadership to ensure alignment of technical and commercial strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, product development, and sales teams to ensure seamless transition from presales to project delivery.
  • Provide market insights and feedback on client requirements to help shape product offerings and strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive offerings to position Syntys as a leader in the market.
  • Represent Syntys in external technical forums, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the presales engineering team.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, or related technical roles, preferably in the data center, cloud, or hyperscaler industries.
  • Proven experience leading a technical presales team in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in data center operations, cloud solutions, and AI infrastructure.
  • Experience working with hyperscalers and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
