Head of Private Equity
The Head of Private Equity will lead the firm’s private equity investment strategy, oversee deal sourcing and execution, manage portfolio performance, and guide a team of investment professionals. The role is responsible for identifying attractive investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring transactions, and driving value creation across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the private equity investment strategy aligned with firm objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and lead new investment opportunities across sectors and geographies.
- Perform financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence on potential investments.
- Negotiate and execute transactions, including acquisitions, minority investments, and exits.
- Oversee portfolio companies and monitor performance, risk, and value creation initiatives.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, founders, management teams, advisors, and investors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the private equity team.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or principal investing.
- Strong track record of sourcing, executing, and exiting investments successfully.
- Deep understanding of valuation, deal structuring, financial modeling, and portfolio management.
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification is often preferred.
