Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement (Manager Level) to lead and oversee the entire procurement function. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of hands-on experience in vendor management, sourcing, negotiation, and procurement operations—especially within Sialkot’s manufacturing and supplier markets. Proficiency in ERP systems is essential for managing procurement workflows and ensuring data accuracy.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, market awareness, leadership ability, and a deep understanding of procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Forecast purchasing needs based on production, sales, and inventory requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, components, and services.
2. Vendor Management & Market Research
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors and suppliers, particularly within Sialkot markets.
- Build long-term relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new vendors, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain an updated vendor database.
3. Negotiation & Cost Control
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and payment schedules to achieve competitive rates.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Track and analyze purchasing trends for budgeting and cost optimization.
4. Procurement Operations & ERP Management
- Oversee daily procurement activities, including PO creation, approvals, and follow-ups.
- Ensure proper usage and data accuracy within the ERP system (POs, GRNs, inventory tracking).
- Monitor lead times, delivery schedules, and material availability through ERP dashboards.
5. Coordination & Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate closely with Production, PPC, QA, Warehouse, and Accounts departments.
- Communicate procurement timelines, material availability, and potential delays.
- Resolve supply chain issues, bottlenecks, or discrepancies quickly and professionally.
6. Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation including RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement performance reports for management.
- Conduct supplier audits and maintain quality assurance protocols.
7. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and supervise the procurement team, assigning and monitoring tasks.
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
- Strong working knowledge of Sialkot supplier markets (mandatory).
- Proven experience in vendor management and negotiation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, ERPNext, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
