Head of Procurement - Chemicals ''Beni Suef''

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage all procurement operations, ensuring strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and timely availability of materials and services. The Head of Procurement develops long-term supplier partnerships, enforces compliance with company policies, and drives continuous improvement to support the organization’s operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with company goals and business plans.
  • Oversee all local and international purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services.
  • Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Establish long-term supplier agreements and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Monitor market trends, identify risks, and recommend proactive cost-saving and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage and control procurement budgets, ensuring transparency and adherence to financial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Production, R&D, Quality, Finance, Operations) to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and ethical standards in all procurement processes.
  • Develop procurement KPIs, track performance metrics, and prepare regular management reports.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation within procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience , including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role .
  • Proven record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and procurement automation tools.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
