Job Purpose:
To lead and manage all procurement operations, ensuring strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and timely availability of materials and services. The Head of Procurement develops long-term supplier partnerships, enforces compliance with company policies, and drives continuous improvement to support the organization’s operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with company goals and business plans.

Oversee all local and international purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services.

Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.

Establish long-term supplier agreements and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliability and performance.

Monitor market trends, identify risks, and recommend proactive cost-saving and sourcing strategies.

Manage and control procurement budgets, ensuring transparency and adherence to financial targets.

Collaborate with internal departments (Production, R&D, Quality, Finance, Operations) to align procurement with operational needs.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and ethical standards in all procurement processes.

Develop procurement KPIs, track performance metrics, and prepare regular management reports.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental objectives.

Drive automation and digital transformation within procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum
10–15 years of progressive procurement experience
, including
at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
.

Proven record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience working with
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar) and procurement automation tools.

Professional certification such as
CIPS, CPSM, or PMP
is an asset.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
