The Role
We are hiring a
Head of Product Solutions
to lead NymCard’s solutions consulting and pre sales function. You will own
solution architecture
for strategic deals, shape scope and commercials with Sales, and ensure clean handovers into delivery. You will standardize discovery, proposals, and SOWs so each opportunity moves from idea to implementation with clear assumptions, estimates, risks, and decision records.
You will manage a team of solution architects and business analysts, coach them on client discovery, API design reviews, and integration patterns, and maintain a library of reusable
solution blueprints
for card issuing, tokenization, KYC, 3DS, settlement, and reconciliation. You will partner with Product and Engineering on roadmap fit, create reference implementations and demo environments, and ensure every commitment is feasible, secure, and compliant.
Success looks like predictable win rates, accurate effort estimates, fewer change orders, faster time to live, and customers who know exactly how their programme will work before build starts.
What you will do

Own
solutions strategy
and operating rhythm for discovery, design, proposals, and sign offs.

Lead client
discovery and scoping
. Map use cases, data flows, and dependencies across KYC, issuer processing, authorization, webhooks, and reporting.

Produce decision ready
solution designs
. Context and sequence diagrams, data models, API interaction patterns, and non functional requirements such as performance and resilience.

Create and maintain
solution blueprints
for common programmes. Consumer and corporate issuing, tokenization, 3DS, card controls, funding models, settlement and reconciliation.

Run
RFP and proposal
responses. Write technical sections, clarify assumptions, define acceptance criteria, and align commercials with effort and risk.

Define
SOWs
with entry and exit criteria, responsibilities, timelines, and change control.

Partner with Product on
roadmap fit
and gap assessments. Propose configuration or build options with pros, cons, and estimates.

Maintain
demo and reference
environments that showcase key flows and provide sample payloads and Postman collections.

Guide security and compliance considerations with clear requirements for
PCI DSS
, data protection, and scheme obligations.

Support Sales through
executive presentations
and hands on technical sessions that unravel complexity without overcommitting.

Set
estimation standards
. Use historicals and complexity drivers to forecast effort and reduce variance.

Track pre sales to delivery
handover quality
. Ensure signed scope, configurations, and risks are documented and accessible to project teams.

Build the team. Hire, coach, and set quality bars for discovery notes, diagrams, proposals, and SOWs.

Publish concise
weekly MI
. Funnel coverage, win loss analysis, scope risks, estimate accuracy, and time to live.
What You’ll Bring

12 plus years
in solutions consulting or solution architecture for
payments, issuing, or fintech
, including leadership of a pre sales or solutions team.

Strong grasp of
API first products
and integration patterns. Comfortable with REST, JSON, OAuth and OIDC, webhook design, idempotency, and error handling.

Deep understanding of
card issuing
processes. KYC and onboarding, authorization and risk controls, tokenization and 3DS, card controls, settlement and reconciliation, reporting.

Proven experience producing clear
diagrams, proposals, and SOWs
with crisp assumptions and acceptance criteria.

Ability to balance
commercials and delivery
. Translate scope to effort and cost, protect unit economics, and set realistic timelines.

Confident using tools such as
Postman
and OpenAPI docs for client working sessions, and Jira or Confluence for records.

Credible communicator with executives and engineers. Able to challenge requirements, simplify choices, and secure decisions.

Organized, reliable, and comfortable operating with limited guidance across multiple concurrent opportunities.
