Job Purpose

  • defining and executing product strategy, managing the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, overseeing profitability and market share, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like Sales, IT, and Compliance to develop and deliver wholesale banking products and solutions for corporate and institutional clients.
  • Key responsibilities include market analysis, product roadmapping, P&L management, driving innovation, and acting as a subject matter expert on market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs.
  • Drive the strategy of GTB from Product creations and digital requirements
  • Plan, develop, launch and manage product programs for Transaction banking Cash management inline to overall GTB strategy.
  • Drive business case for the approval of investment into digital channel and non-digital product program under guidance of GTB head.
  • Develop commercialization strategies and implement promotional campaigns to create product awareness and enable team to achieve targeted revenue.
  • Managing RFP and work with cross functional teams for short listing vendors/suppliers of TB solutions for implementing GTB product strategy.
  • Meet corporate clients and provide solutions to create value proposition which should result in competitive advantage for the unit and gain in revenue.
  • Formulate / revise GTB’s overall product policy and offerings and ensure risk and regulatory compliance.
  • Execute the strategy of Digital transformation for Global transaction banking.
  • Execute the implementation of B2B with Corporate clients



Key Tasks and Duties

  • Increase penetration and usage of all digital channels including but not limited to:
  • Corporate Internet Banking
  • Direct Debit
  • B2B
  • Trade Platform
  • Provide recommendations to structure corporate solutions according to specific needs of customers.
  • Develop new products and modify existing products of transaction banking, service delivery and channel optimization on need basis.
  • Induce new product & solution to attract liquidity, improve customer experience, simplify the channel usages such as Cash management (Virtual Account, Direct Debit, Escrow services etc.),
  • Profit & Loss (P&L) Ownership: Own and manage the product P&L, developing business cases, setting pricing strategies, and forecasting sales and profitability.
  • Go-to-Market & Launch: Develop and implement effective product launch, marketing, and communication strategies to promote new capabilities and features to the target market.
  • To put strategy to increase adoption of web based services and improve digital experience.
  • To keep track on market insights and development and align ourselves from time to time.
  • Responsible for successfully winning and delivering transaction banking mandates by working with the internal stakeholder (respective sales unit) and customer from pre-sales to Go-Live.
  • Regular review of Policies and Procedures pertaining to all products and services under transaction banking.
  • Work with the Solution Implementation and Relationship Managers to ensure the highest professional standards of service inline to market offerings and standard are provided to the customers, and achieve the set targets
  • Focus on Financial system integration for clients having ERP systems for B2B payment implementation.
  • Ensure that the anticipated financial benefits of the channel are realized. This will involve engagement of various stakeholders across the bank , including Sales, Trade operations, Channel back office team, Service Delivery, IT& IS, Audit, Legal & Compliance and Solution implementation teams
  • Constantly work to improve the functionality of the related products by coordinating efforts between the wholesale banking group and other functions at the bank.
  • Maintain high level of customer contact through client calls, product and concept research to ensure feedback is gained on Electronic product offerings, and modifications made as appropriate.
  • To ensure strict adherence to follow ORAP process, bank’s policies & procedures & regularity compliances.
  • To control expenses & ensure that it stays within budget.


  • Qualification

    • Bachelor's in Banking, Finance, Economics or Accounting. Master degree is a value added.


    Experience

    • 8 years of banking experience in Transaction banking product development.


    Skills Required Include

    • Ability to identify product gaps and launch solutions.
    • Thorough knowledge of trade products & regulations and cash management products & solutions
    • Ability to launch end to end Trade finance and cash products and monitor life cycle
    • Knowledge of corporate banking products and functions
    • Ability to perform & spearhead the research & analysis efforts, furthering the identification and analysis of current/target marketplace for GTB products to align with the market.
    • Update self on the current industry trends, economic events, regulatory requirements/ changes set by NBO and other related govt. bodies pertaining to deliveries.
    • Drive for results, accept accountability and ready to work under pressure
    • Must be self-starter, highly motivated, able to plan and organize with minimal direction.
    • First rate team player, with outstanding work ethic, must be mentally resilient and persistent
    • Strong computer and presentation skills
