Head of Projects & Engineering

Doha Bank is seeking an experienced Head of Projects & Engineering to lead its Projects & Engineering department. This strategic role is responsible for managing large-scale construction, maintenance, and infrastructure development initiatives across the organization

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan, coordinate, and execute civil engineering initiatives, encompassing both construction and maintenance projects across institutional facilities.
• Establish and uphold project standards; prepare comprehensive scopes of work (SOWs) and detailed RFPs for consultants and contractors.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, execution, and formal closeout—ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications and agreed SLAs.
• Provide leadership and direction to a cross-functional team comprising engineers, project managers, foremen, and technicians, driving timely and quality-focused execution.
• Foster collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and seamless project delivery.
• Stay informed on relevant regulatory updates and industry trends, ensuring the section remains compliant and adaptive to change.
• Champion improvements in project execution, operational workflows, and vendor performance through data-driven and proactive measures.
• Monitor team output and resource utilization; manage budgets effectively while enforcing safety standards and mitigating risk across all phases of project delivery.

Candidate Profile :

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Atleast 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within banking or financial services infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in construction standards, building services, vendor management, and engineering controls.
• Hands-on experience with BoQ development, tender processes, and project estimation.
• Proficient in design software like AutoCAD; familiar with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and manage high-impact projects.
