Hiring: AGM – Purchase (Direct Material)

We are looking for a seasoned procurement professional to join our team as AGM – Purchase (Direct Material) . This regional leadership role focuses on managing supplier relationships, pricing strategies, and sourcing for high-impact materials like polymers, rubber, and steel components.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Manage sourcing activities for Polymers and Rubbers, including localization and identifying alternate sources for cost-reduction projects.
• Supplier Management: Maintain a target supplier panel for steel components, stampings, and springs, ensuring adequate capacity meets annual budget requirements.
• NPD Support: Identify local suppliers for New Product Development (NPD) rubber compounds and develop components with panel suppliers within defined lead times.
• Financial Oversight: Perform internal costing for NPD components, conduct periodic pricing negotiations based on market fluctuations, and execute annual cost-reduction initiatives.
• Crisis Management: Resolve material shortages through strategic allocations and alternate solutions.

What You Bring

• Experience: At least 16 years of experience in purchasing, specifically focused on polymers, rubber, and steel processes.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of raw rubber/steel costing and market intelligence regarding polymers and chemicals.
• Systems: Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates from the Polymer or Rubber industries.

Role Details

• Reporting: This position reports directly to the Head of Procurement.
• Focus: Managing regional procurement for direct materials.
