Position Overview

The Head of Capital Raising will lead all fundraising activities across the GCC and broader MENA region, focusing on institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, UHNWIs, and strategic partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing the regional capital-raising strategy, expanding investor relationships, driving fund commitments, and positioning the firm as a preferred investment partner across asset classes.


Key Responsibilities


Capital Raising & Fundraising Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive capital-raising strategy across GCC/MENA markets.
  • Drive fundraising for existing and new investment products (funds, co-investments, structured products, alternatives).
  • Lead investor roadshows, presentations, and regional fundraising campaigns.
  • Identify new investor segments and emerging pools of capital across sovereign, institutional, and private wealth channels.


Investor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, institutional capital allocators, banks, and family offices.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key investors, ensuring continuous engagement and communication.
  • Understand investor needs and customize investment solutions accordingly.
  • Manage ongoing investor reporting, due diligence processes, and investment updates.


Business Development & Partnerships

  • Expand the firm’s presence in the GCC/MENA region through strategic partnerships and collaboration with sovereigns, family offices, government, financial institutions, placement agents, advisors, and distribution networks.
  • Identify opportunities to raise capital via new channels, digital platforms, and private wealth ecosystems.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective investors and strategic partners.


Product & Strategy Alignment

  • Work closely with senior management, investment teams, and product specialists to align investor demand with product offerings.
  • Provide market feedback on investor preferences, capital flows, and competitive fundraising trends.
  • Support the development of new fund strategies aligned with GCC/MENA capital appetite.


Leadership & Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, marketing, and investment teams to ensure smooth execution of fundraising processes.
  • Oversee creation of investor materials including pitchbooks, RFPs, due-diligence documents, and internal briefs.


Market Intelligence

  • Monitor regional regulatory developments (CMA, QFCRA, DFSA, ADGM, CBK, CBB, etc.).
  • Track macroeconomic trends, government investment policies, sovereign wealth activities, and capital deployment patterns.
  • Use data and market insights to refine fundraising strategy.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 10–15+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, sovereign, government and private capital distribution, real estate development, investment banking, asset management, private equity, or alternative investments.
  • Proven track record of raising capital from sovereign wealth funds, institutions, and family offices across GCC & MENA.
  • Deep network of senior-level relationships with institutional investors and government-linked entities.
  • Strong understanding of alternative investments, fund structures, co-investments, and portfolio construction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across GCC/MENA.
