Job Summary – Pastry Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Head Chef to lead our pastry department and oversee the production of high-quality desserts, baked goods, and specialty pastries. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with leadership, organization, and a passion for innovation. This role is responsible for menu development, team management, quality control, and maintaining food safety standards while ensuring consistency and excellence in every product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the pastry team, including training, scheduling, and supervision
  • Develop and execute dessert menus, seasonal items, and special event offerings
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all pastry items
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, cost control, and waste reduction
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with executive chefs and management on menu planning and concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef
  • Strong knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques
  • Leadership experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
