Head Start Lead Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their growth in various developmental areas. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Educate children in foundational skills such as literacy and math through interactive activities.
• Provide physical education activities that promote healthy development and motor skills.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student growth and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
• Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being throughout the day.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall preschool curriculum.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience in early intervention strategies is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of literacy education techniques and math concepts for young children.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Proven ability in lesson planning tailored to preschool-age children.
• Experience with classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their developmental needs.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not required.
