Health and Safety Officer

Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Health & Safety policies and procedures on site.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations, local authority requirements, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff, subcontractors, and site teams on safe work practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with recommendations for prevention.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety roles within construction projects, with proven exposure to high-rise buildings.
  • Certification in NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE safety laws, regulations, and international safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to relocate, transfer, or move to Ras Al Khaimah for the project duration.
