Health and Safety Officer

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor work activities to ensure they meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Enforce the implementation of approved safety procedures, policies, and programs.
• Deliver safety induction and toolbox talks to site workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective action.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and audits.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and external auditors to promote a safety culture.
• Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and used appropriately.
• Display and maintain required safety signage and documentation at the site.
• Assist in the development and review of project-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
• Ensure emergency response plans are in place and conduct regular drills.
• Stay up to date with local HSE legislation and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant HSE certifications are a plus.
• 3-5 Years Experience in the same field.
