Health And Safety Officer

This job will be based at Berger Paints Bahrain W.L, Bahrain.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• To ensure proper implementation of safety rules of the company as laid down in the area wise Safety Handbook and proper use of PPEs by regularly visiting various areas in Factory as well as Stores.
• To conduct safety related trainings and other routing activities as necessary.
• To conduct fire mock drills at factory as well as at FG Store.
• To provide formal Safety induction to new employees.
• To issue work permits for hazardous jobs like work at heights, confined space entry, hot works etc.
• To investigate on Accident / Incident / Just missed accidents, submission of the investigation report to the concerned functional in-charge and follow up for implementation of necessary preventive action.
• To conduct daily audits as per area wise 5S/PPE check list.
• To issue formal warnings to the safety rule offenders.
• Assist production executive to maintain the stock of PPEs and take care of regular distribution to Operators and other concerned employees.
• To conduct Safety committee meeting at regular intervals.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

• To carry out routine checks like checking of fire extinguishers, hydrant and hose reels, ladders etc. as advised by the maintenance in-charge.
• To ensure that the first aid boxes at various locations are updated with the necessary items in it.
• Updating of production batches.
• To ensure that the security personnel are following the necessary security rules.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have atleast 3 years of experience
• Should be NEBOSH certified
• Must be fluent in Arabic & English
• Registered in Ministry of Labour and Tamkeen
