We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe workplace culture, and minimizing risks across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards
  • Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
  • Organize and conduct safety training, drills, and awareness programs
  • Monitor workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports
  • Recommend corrective actions to eliminate hazards and improve safety standards
  • Liaise with external authorities and auditors when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
  • Certified Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
