Health Safety and Enviornment Officer Power Plant Experienced

Our client is one of the leading Energy based companies and looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Officer to join their team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Ensure implementation and compliance of HSE policies, procedures, legal regulations, and industry standards across all power plant operations, maintenance, and contractor activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments for plant activities including electrical works, hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, and working at height.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor environmental compliance related to waste management, emissions, chemical handling, pollution prevention, and safe storage/disposal practices.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, emergency response drills, and ongoing safety awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain all HSE documentation, permits, training records, inspection reports, and management dashboards while supporting continuous improvement of workplace safety culture.

Who we're looking for:

• Must have a Bachelor / Engineering degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Sciences, OR a relevant Engineering background.
• Must have NEBOSH or IOSH certifications.
• Must be proficient in Arabic and English.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in power generation or heavy industrial sector.
