Job Purpose
The Health & Safety Officer (QHSE Officer) is responsible for supporting the KKIA Terminals Project by implementing safety measures, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities

Perform awarenessand Tool-Box-Talks as per the set plan to the KKIA Terminals Project team.

Conduct H&S inspectionas per the plan ensure to capture and report findings as per the priorities category level.

Report any unsafe practicesof site personnel and get them corrected as soon as possible.

Ensure that equipmentissued are correctlyused and properlymaintained so that it presentsno threat to health, safety or the environment.

Ensure equipment and tools well calibrated as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Maintain safety equipmentregister and coordinate safety equipment maintenance.

Ensure the availability, quality and the use of PPE by all concernedemployees.

Assist the HSSE Lead and HSE Supervisor in accidentand incident investigations where required.

Prepare recommendation for improving safetyand health performance.

Ensure that HSE local legislations and regulations updatedand abide by.

Reporting and documenting through (video and pictures) on ( any accident, incident, or dangerous occurrence to the Project Manager,HSSE Lead and/ HSE Supervisor.

Raise-up observations about safety violations, Near Miss, Misbehaviors, and Shortage, quality or non- abidance to PPEs… etc. Ensure they are loggedand followed within the CAF system and local register.

Confirm that noticesand posters displayedat strategic locationse.g., offices, canteenworkshops, worker’s quarters, rest areas and site noticeboards.

The employee is expected to be available and responsive to any requests or inquiries related to his/her area of expertise and should not refuse any mention or task related to his/her role and responsibilities.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.

OSHA or NEBOSH certification is a plus.

Strong knowledge of HSE standards, best practices, and local regulations.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within facility management or construction.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
