About the Role
We are looking for an HSE Officer to drive site safety compliance, oversee daily inspections, review contractor HSE plans and risk assessments, and support incident investigations. You will work closely with contractors and project teams to resolve safety issues, maintain accurate HSE records, and ensure alignment with ADOSH and internal HSE standards.
Responsibilities

Study and implement the approved health and safety plan in the project.

Ensure that safety evaluation procedures and risk assessment methods are in line with legal guidelines of ADOSH System Framework of Abu Dhabi.

Adhere to and implement ALSUWEIDI internal HSE Management System requirements and procedures.

Participate in the preparation of ALSUWEIDI HSE Plan for the project as requested by Line Manager.

Review and approve Contractor’s HSE Plan and ensure regular updates are submitted when necessary.

Monitor compliance of Contractor staffs with ADOSH safety standards and procedures.

Take proper action against any observed safety violations or issues in coordination with Line Manager.

Ensure that the Contractor conducts regular safety training for his staffs on site.

Carry out daily site HSE inspection tours with Contractor’s HSE officers and report all findings.

Follow up with the Contractor on outstanding HSE issues and ensure prompt closure with adequate evidence of compliance.

Participate in the review and approval of Contractor’s risk assessment reports, work method statements, required work permits, etc.

Participate in injury and incident investigations, preparation of related reports, and closure of open cases in coordination with Line Manager.

Attend safety meetings with the Contractor and other parties to discuss outstanding corrective actions and critical safety matters.

Participate in the preparation of HSE registers, e.g., training, induction, safety notifications, inspection reports, accidents/incidents, etc.

Report any accident on site immediately to Line Manager and record all hazardous and unsafe situations or conditions in the project.

Adhere to Employer’s safety team requirements and participate in the preparation of required weekly and/or monthly safety reports under the Contract.

Participate in internal and external safety audits as requested and report findings to Line Manager.
Qualifications:

Educational Background: Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Relevant Experience: At least 7 years of construction supervision experience working as a HSE Officer, preferably with relevant experience in an engineering consulting firm and has experience with Abu Dhabi (DMT and ITC).
Required Skills:

With recognized Health and Safety education, certifications (ADVETI), license or training in UAE
Preferred Skills
-
Experience in Abu Dhabi regulations and safety standards.
