Salary: 1100 OMR + OT

Job Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our team for a major

Brownfield Expansion Project in Sohar, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained in line with regulatory

and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct HSE site audits, inspections (internal and external), and routine surveys

• Develop and draft audit documentation, track corrective actions, and monitor trends

• Assist in preparing HSE procedures, programs, and technical documents

• Support the HSE Management System and maintain related documentation

• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis

• Generate periodic HSE reports and provide detailed safety analytics

• Participate in Job Safety Assessments and use relevant risk assessment tools

• Conduct and participate in daily Toolbox Talks (TBTs)

• Perform inspections and audits of contractors, personnel, and equipment as per Valeprovided checklists

• Monitor and report weekly on audit and inspection results as per Vale’s standards

• Track and report on action plans related to inspections, audits, and incidents (monthly

reporting required

Requirements:

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)

• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in similar industries, preferably in

brownfield construction and commissioning projects

• Proficiency in English and Hindi or Chinese (fluency in any one combination is

required)

• Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
