Healthcare IT Support Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare IT Support Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software problems, maintaining computer systems, and assisting users with various IT-related inquiries.Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the first point of contact for our employees seeking technical assistance via in office, phone and email.
* Provide basic troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network connected devices such as printers.
* Assist our employees with common healthcare IT-related problems, including login issues, system performance, printing, device connectivity, and troubleshooting medical equipment.
* Provide initial triage, identify and escalate unresolved issues to senior staff or other specialized personnel.
* Document and track issues in the service desk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
* Maintain knowledge of company-specific IT systems, policies, and procedures.
* Deploy new workstations and peripherals.
* Track and update changes made to IT inventory.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare IT trends, tools, and best practices.
* Travel between our local facilities to provide on-site assistance when needed.Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or IT certifications a plus.
* Previous experience in an IT support or customer service role is preferred.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and a customer-centric attitude.
* Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems, as well as common software applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
* Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting tools a plus.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience:

  • IT support: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Help Desk / Customer Support: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
