<Duties>
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose issues with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and system connections.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair processes.
- Operate welding equipment for system fabrication or repair tasks when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or system modifications for accountability.
- Assist with property maintenance projects involving appliance repair, boiler servicing, or general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites as a <PERSON> driver while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Support field service operations by providing timely on-site repairs and system upgrades in accordance with safety standards.
<Skills>
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance settings.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for system installation or troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing system faults.
- Experience operating welding equipment for fabrication or repair tasks.
- Mechanical experience related to boilers, pumps, fans, ductwork, and other HVAC components.
- Field service expertise with a focus on timely repairs and customer satisfaction.
- Basic understanding of property maintenance practices including plumbing and general mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver preferred.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including refrigerant handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
