Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical equipment. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across diverse property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control and energy efficiency while providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties

Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable.
Repair appliances and mechanical components using welding techniques or specialized equipment repair skills.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
Operate a vehicle safely for on-site visits or client locations.
Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all HVAC-related systems meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Assist in the design or modification of HVAC systems to improve efficiency or meet client specifications.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair.
Knowledge of construction practices related to building mechanical systems.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical manuals.
Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
Experience working with ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems is highly desirable.
Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
Skilled in equipment repair techniques including welding and mechanical adjustments.
Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues efficiently.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe operation of company vehicles.
