Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform service calls in the field to address urgent repairs or routine maintenance tasks for commercial or residential properties.
- Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines; handle ammonia refrigeration units with proper safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Support property maintenance activities by inspecting systems regularly to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, appliance repair, welding, and boiler operation.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing fundamentals.
- Experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems in field service roles.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; proficient in using basic hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs.
- Prior experience with property maintenance tasks including air conditioning installation/repair and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating a <PERSON> driver vehicle for service calls. Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
