Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain lines and water supply connections.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for routine maintenance or urgent repairs on HVAC/R equipment.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical components and perform mechanical repairs.
- Diagnose system malfunctions using mechanical knowledge and technical expertise; recommend solutions to optimize performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while transporting tools, parts, or equipment to job sites.
- Assist with HVAC system design considerations for new installations or upgrades based on client needs and building specifications.
- Support property maintenance tasks related to heating and cooling systems to ensure continuous operation and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair including boilers, appliances, welding techniques, and general maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to read electrical schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience working with refrigeration units—particularly ammonia refrigeration—is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely across various sites.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in field service environments involving appliance repair or HVAC system troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse settings. Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
