Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform refrigeration repairs involving ammonia refrigeration systems and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks to support system integrity.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and welding equipment for component repairs or fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Drive company vehicles safely while transporting tools or parts to various job sites as needed.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components using appropriate techniques; ensure compliance with safety standards during all field service activities.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed and parts used.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with hands-on work in construction or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation fans, and refrigeration systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans for precise troubleshooting and installation.
- Experience with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups.
- Field service experience involving the installation or maintenance of HVAC/R equipment in commercial or residential settings.
- Ability to operate specialized tools such as diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a must.
- Mechanical experience with boilers or other large mechanical systems; and familiarity with refrigerant handling regulations.

Pay: $27.00 - $76.00 per hour
