Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician and play a vital role in ensuring optimal climate control and mechanical system performance across diverse properties. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
- Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and water supply connections.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for component repairs when necessary.
- Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute service tasks.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports on all repairs, maintenance activities, and system inspections.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks involving appliance repair, mechanical troubleshooting, or equipment replacement as needed.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites.
- Handle specialized refrigeration tasks such as ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units with precision.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician working on HVAC systems or related mechanical equipment in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, boiler operation, or refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles to troubleshoot effectively.
- Experience with field service operations including installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC/R equipment.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently.
- Prior experience working with ammonia refrigeration or complex mechanical systems is a plus.
