Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across residential and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure that systems run efficiently, meet safety standards, and adhere to local building codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment in residential and commercial settings
- Conduct diagnostics using gauges, meters, and other testing tools to identify issues accurately
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment schematics to ensure precise installation and repairs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, refrigerant recovery equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and prevent breakdowns
- Follow EPA refrigerant handling guidelines, local building codes, and safety regulations during all phases of work
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems during remodeling or new builds
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repair tasks
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and repair logs
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about work progress and solutions
What We're Looking For
- Proven 5+ years of experience with a focus on HVAC projects in residential or commercial environments
- Active HVAC license (required)
- Hands-on experience with refrigerant handling, ductwork, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical schematics
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, safety protocols, and local building codes
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, and other relevant diagnostic equipment
- Experience troubleshooting heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance practices, and remodeling processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations or repairs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members
- Comfortable learning and using our operational tools/platforms
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Based in Massachusetts, with willingness to travel to Maine, NH, Connecticut, and surrounding New England areas
