Duties

• Coordinate the dispatching of heavy equipment, trucks, and freight using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track equipment locations, optimize routes, and improve overall dispatch efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, project managers, and vendors via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and updates.
• Maintain accurate data entry for shipment schedules, fleet movements, and inventory using systems like SyteLine and shipping & receiving platforms.
• Monitor fleet management metrics to ensure equipment availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
• Analyze transportation data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, proposing solutions to enhance supply chain performance.
• Handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching heavy equipment or freight within a logistics or transportation setting.
• Strong familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400.
• Knowledge of GPS, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning principles to coordinate fleet movements effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey instructions clearly over multi-line phone systems.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating logistics data and optimizing dispatch operations.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and maintaining detailed records related to shipping & receiving activities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism in phone etiquette and team interactions.
