Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic

Job Duties:

. Effectively Perform Repairs:

1. Troubleshoot your work minimize parts switching

2. Perform repair per standard and/or manual

3. Take no short-cuts "Perform the job right the first time"

4. Work on only work that has been assigned to you or okayed by your supervisor

5. Understand and operate Maintenance Software (CMMS) and timely close-out of work orders while keeping accurate hours

6. Wear proper PPE and follow all establish safety procedures

Skills: Welding and fabrication experience preferred

Effectively Manage Physical Assets:

1. Ensure that equipment and conditions are maintained at required safe levels

2. Perform field maintenance as assigned

3. Maintain a cost-wise management of the small / specialty tools

4. Establish and maintain the orderly (5S) storage of equipment/vehicles on the yard and in field

. Effectively Communicate Finding and Situations:

1 Maintain open and effective communication

2 Systematically and accurately record all meaningful information after performing work

3 Routinely inspect and document findings of all additional issues on equipment regardless as to the severity

4 Systematically and accurately record emergency details within the CMMS

5 Perform equipment inspections while on-site for determining overall fleet condition

6 Maintain productive and open lines of communications with operational personnel

7 Contact the Maintenance Supervisor if there are questions

Fulfill Other Varied Mission Critical Tasks and Duties

1 Supports as well as lead organizational continuous improvement efforts

2 Assists in the efforts to identify the root cause of major/costly equipment failures

3 Constantly pursue the development and refinement of documented "best in class" systems and processes

4 Proficient user of job required organizational software platforms

5 Perform other tasks and duties as required

6 Ability to work unsupervised, in hazardous environments, and extended hours (as needed)
