Position Title: Diesel Mechanic Apprentice / Shop Technician

Job Summary

Central Pacific AG LLC is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Apprentice / Shop Technician to assist with the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of heavy equipment used in agricultural land development. This position works directly with the lead mechanic and helps maintain our fleet of tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, and support equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical and welding experience who wants to build a career working on heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead mechanic with maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
• Perform routine service including oil changes, filters, and fluid checks
• Assist with equipment inspections and troubleshooting
• Support fabrication and welding projects for equipment repairs and attachments
• Operate shop tools including welders, grinders, torches, and cutting equipment
• Help maintain shop organization and cleanliness
• Assist with parts pickup and supply organization
• Perform field service support when needed

Required Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience
• Basic welding experience (MIG, stick, or fabrication work)
• Ability to safely use shop tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop and outdoor environments
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy equipment, diesel engines, or farm equipment
• Experience with fabrication or metal work
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems
• CDL or ability to obtain one

Our fleet includes large agricultural tractors, dozers, loaders, and specialized land clearing equipment.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
