Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Help Desk Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing our customer's information systems, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design system specifications, and ensure seamless implementation of changes. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • This position requires working onsite in Washington D.C., 5 days per week

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline and 5+ years of applicable experience, or 7+ years of applicable experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • One or more of the following computer security certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or Other Security certification as approved by CRM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and team-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Provides phone and in-person support to end users for e-mail; active directory; file systems and storage; desktop applications; government-issued equipment such as laptops, phones, printers, etc.; and end-user connectivity among other areas.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation process or in ongoing system usage.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they effectively utilize the government-provided IT systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
