HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver

Wood and Co are looking for class 1 tipper drivers willing to tramp out Monday to Friday. Day drivers would be considered. Coalville based. Small family business.

All trucks have invertor, microwave, fridge, TV and are well maintained and clean. Mainly delivering Agg stone, decorative stone, glass, odd ash loads.

Monday to Friday days (no weekend work or late Fridays required). Generally there are opportunities to be home one or two nights a week if that suits.

Never the same days. We have contracts for jobs that are generally specific to us to deliver stone everywhere from Cornwall to Cumbria to Scotland, Wales and Norfolk and all areas between. We also have specific contracts delivering large amounts of decorative stone from all around Britain to a bagging concern in Bedfordshire. Our glass contracts are also specific to ourselves.

With bonus driver's having nights out are pretty much averaging, to a man, 850-950 gross a week this year (against 745 basic minimum) 46-48k (plus night out allowance). Day drivers averaging 43-44k a year. We are paying at least £26.20 a night out plus a recoverable meal allowance (up to £20 a week). Unfortunately, we are somewhat governed by the rates we are paid in the tipping sector, but we pay what we can. Holidays paid at average pay.
