Hi-Loader Operator

Responsible for loading and offloading of flights ensuring maximum security measures at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for correct loading of flights in the High Loader and ensures that meal carts, containers, standard units are properly secured and air conditioning unit in vehicle is on.
  • Ensures that all flights are loaded according to the loading plan and on deadlines.
  • Ensures that all equipment for loading is properly labelled according to packing diagram.
  • Ensures that the loader attached with him knows marshalling/de-marshalling procedures.
  • Reports on duty on roster timings and in proper uniform.
  • Ensures that the Hi-loader attending arrival/departure is neat, clean and tidy.
  • Ensures that after each handling (arrival), the High Loader is cleaned properly.
  • Ensures that offloaded food is not allowed to be consumed.
  • Ensures that laid down hygiene standards are adhered to while preparing, assembling and handling of flights.
  • Ensures that enough dry ice is supplied with the food items to maintain required temperatures.
  • Ensures 'FOLLOW ME' escort always accompanies the vehicle when flights are loaded at Air Force Base.
  • Keeps Supervisor informed in respect of the flights.
  • Follows the regulations of Airport Authorities, Customs and Security. Any deviation is reported to Supervisor.
  • Ensures that regulations are very strictly enforced while loading the aircraft.
  • Ensure that driving license and Ramp pass of self are valid.
  • Should have comprehensive knowledge of radio communication procedure.
  • Should have knowledge of driving, operating system of all kinds of catering vehicles.
  • Assists in handling DEK and ABC Guide whenever required.
  • Coordinates with the Transport and Chief Driver regarding the change of schedule and change of aircraft.
  • Ensures understanding of the hazardous nature of his job by following procedures completely.
  • Bears responsibility for training the Loaders.
  • Reports any accident or incident of vehicle to Chief Driver immediately.
  • Maintains Driver's Movement Report.
  • Abides by the regulations of Airport Authorities, Customs and Security. Any deviation is immediately reported to Chief Driver/ Supervisor Assembly/Transport.
  • Ensures regulations are strictly followed while loading the aircraft.
  • Ensures that while offloading the aircraft any kind of liquor, cabin crew kits, non-catering items are not offloaded.
  • While delivering up-catering ensures proper procedure is followed for parking up-catering van.
