High School Mathematics Instructor

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mathematics Instructor to join our high school academic team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise and proven teaching ability across a range of math subjects, including but not limited to:

  • Algebra I / Honors Algebra I
  • Algebra II / Honors Algebra II
  • Geometry / Honors Geometry
  • Pre-Calculus / Honors / AP Pre-Calculus
  • AP Calculus AB / AP Calculus BC
  • Statistics / AP Statistics

We are looking for an educator who can spark mathematical curiosity, build student confidence, and develop analytical thinking skills through an inclusive, student-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster an Inclusive Learning Environment: Create a respectful, equitable, and engaging classroom culture that supports both academic and personal growth.
  • Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding and real-world application.
  • Differentiate for Diverse Learners: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of English language learners, advanced students, and those requiring additional support.
  • Assess and Guide Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to track student performance, adjust instruction, and provide constructive, individualized feedback.
  • Build a Positive Classroom Culture: Establish clear expectations, structure, and mutual respect to encourage focus, collaboration, and perseverance.
  • Stay Current in Math Education: Incorporate research-based practices and leverage technology to enhance learning and student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience teaching or tutoring high school mathematics
  • Strong skills in instructional design, assessment, and the integration of digital learning tools
  • Demonstrated passion for mathematics education and commitment to student success
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging lessons that meet students at their level and foster measurable growth

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
