Higher-Level Math Teacher (In-Person) – San Marino & La Cañada

About Us
Young Scholars is a leading educational center providing tutoring, test prep, and academic support for K–12 students. We are looking for experienced, passionate Higher-Level Math Teachers who can teach upper-level courses such as Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, and advanced competition math. This is an in-person position at our San Marino and La Cañada locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1-on-1 or small-group math sessions (middle school through AP/advanced levels)
• Prepare tailored lesson plans and practice materials
• Track student progress and provide feedback to parents and directors
• Help students with school coursework, homework, test corrections, and exam preparation
• Maintain clear communication and professional rapport with families
• Work collaboratively with directors and operations team to ensure quality instruction

Qualifications

• Strong mastery of higher-level math (Pre-Calc, Calculus, AP Stats, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Math, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to student success
• In-person availability at San Marino or La Cañada branches

Schedule & Work Environment

• Weekday afternoons/evenings + weekends
• In-person only
