Hindi Legal Translator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Hindi Translator to translate legal documents accurately between Hindi and English. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of legal terminology, excellent language proficiency, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality translations within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate legal documents from English to Hindi and/or Hindi to English with accuracy and consistency
• Handle legal materials such as contracts, agreements, affidavits, court orders, petitions, judgments, notices, and legal correspondence
• Ensure correct usage of legal terminology and maintain the original meaning and tone of the source text
• Proofread and edit translated content to ensure clarity, grammar, and legal accuracy
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal information
• Follow client-specific style guides and formatting requirements
• Meet project deadlines and respond promptly to revision requests, if any

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Law, Hindi, English, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in legal translation (Hindi ↔ English)
• Strong command of both Hindi and English, including legal vocabulary
• Familiarity with Indian legal system and court documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments

Preferred Skills

• Certification in translation or legal studies
• Experience working with law firms, courts, or legal service providers
• Knowledge of CAT tools or translation software (optional)
• Prior experience in certified or sworn translations (if applicable)

Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
