Senior Finance Expert (6-Month Contract)

Location: Al Waad
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday (5 days/week)

Working Hours: 7 hours/day

Language Requirement: Fluency in Arabic and English (written & oral)

Scope of Work

Provision of a Senior Finance Expert fluent in both Arabic and English to provide strategic oversight and enhancement of financial operations, controls, and reporting processes.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Professional Certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is mandatory

Work Experience

• 12–15 years of relevant experience in the finance or accounting field
• Prior experience in public or private sector financial leadership roles is preferred

Skills & Capabilities

• Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High-level organization and time-management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets, and accounting software

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide all financial planning and accounting operations
• Ensure robust budget controls and financial management practices
• Review and enhance billing and invoice processing procedures
• Manage the setup and maintenance of accounting records (receipts, expenditures, etc.)
• Supervise preparation of financial statements, reports, and audits
• Oversee general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, etc.
• Prepare forecasts of future costs and revenues
• Lead and manage internal audits and support external audit preparations
• Consolidate departmental budgets and maintain integrity of reporting
• Design and implement staff training programs focused on compliance and audit readiness
• Drive key initiatives: fixed asset register, physical inventory procedures, inventory control, and final accounts
• Provide strategic financial advice and ensure continued enhancement of all financial systems
• Flexibility required: occasional use of personal devices outside of official hours or during holidays may be necessary
