Hospice Community Liaison

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Director of Marketing & Community Relations to lead strategic growth initiatives and strengthen community partnerships for our hospice agency serving patients and families throughout Arizona.

This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, expanding referral networks, enhancing brand visibility, and cultivating meaningful relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate leader with healthcare marketing experience who understands the unique sensitivities and regulatory environment of hospice care.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Marketing & Growth

  • Develop and implement annual marketing and growth plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify and expand referral sources including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and case managers
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, census growth, and ROI on marketing initiatives

Community & Referral Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with discharge planners, social workers, healthcare providers, and community partners
  • Represent the agency at networking events, healthcare forums, and community outreach activities
  • Develop educational programs and in-services for referral partners

Branding & Communications

  • Oversee brand messaging to ensure consistency and alignment with hospice values
  • Collaborate on digital marketing efforts including website updates, social media presence, and online reputation management
  • Coordinate community education campaigns about hospice services

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor marketing and outreach team members
  • Collaborate closely with clinical leadership to align growth strategies with operational capacity
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Arizona state and federal healthcare marketing regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or healthcare services
  • Proven track record of census growth and referral relationship development
  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and ethical marketing practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with Medicare hospice guidelines
  • Established relationships within Arizona healthcare networks
  • CRM and healthcare marketing analytics experience
