Hospice Physician

Physician:

Alpha Comfort Care is seeking a Part time 5 hours a week board certified/board eligible MD/DO to provide palliative medicine at in the Atlanta Metro Area. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in Internal Medicine, Oncology or Family Practice

The Hospice Physician has responsibility for the medical direction of the care and treatment of patients and their families rendered by Alpha Comfort Care in collaboration and consultation with the patient’s primary care physician. This includes maintaining quality standards in the healthcare provided to patients. The Hospice Physician provides education to community physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding the benefits of Alpha Services

Responsibilities

- Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

- Flexible Schedule

- Provider will assist in starting new practice/program development

-Experience in the care of terminally ill patients as defined by: five or more years’ experience in a medical specialty dealing with terminally ill patients; demonstrated experience in the principles of pain and symptom management

-Ability to work successfully within an interdisciplinary team (including volunteers) toward positive outcomes for patients and their families

-Ability to represent HSI within the physician community as well as general public with excellent communication and presentation skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $125.00 per hour
