PRN Hospice ARNP $92 an hour

Job Summary

The Hospice Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides medical care and clinical oversight to hospice patients in Mason County. This PRN role supports patient care needs on an as‑needed basis, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure high‑quality, compassionate end‑of‑life care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of hospice patients in home, facility, and inpatient settings
  • Conduct hospice face‑to‑face visits, recertifications, and eligibility assessments as required
  • Manage pain and symptom control in accordance with hospice philosophy and best practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Order, interpret, and document appropriate treatments, medications, and care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff regarding goals of care
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Support on‑call needs and urgent patient care issues as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and organizational policies

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State ARNP license in good standing
  • National ARNP certification (ANCC or AANP)
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of one year ARNP experience preferred
  • Hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or primary care experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within Mason County

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel between patient homes and facilities
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move as required during patient visits
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies as needed
  • PRN position with flexible scheduling based on patient and organizational needs
