Overview:
The Hospital Acquisitions Technology Manager leads the technology onboarding and integration process for newly acquired veterinary hospitals. This role oversees a small, specialized team that partners with M&A, Operations and Product and Technology to ensure each new location transitions smoothly onto Mission Pet Health’s technology platforms.
This position coordinates all technology-related activities, from infrastructure assessments and hardware deployment to system configuration, account provisioning, and connectivity setup. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional project management and communication skills to deliver a seamless transition experience for hospital teams.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor a small team responsible for executing technology onboarding for newly acquired hospitals.

Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and timelines for each acquisition project.

Promote a proactive, customer-focused approach that minimizes disruption to hospital operations.
Technology Onboarding & Integration
-
Own and manage the end-to-end technology onboarding process for new hospital acquisitions.

Conduct pre-acquisition technology assessments to identify infrastructure needs, compatibility issues, and transition requirements.

When necessary, coordinate hardware procurement, configuration, and deployment (e.g., workstations, networking, phones, printers, etc.).

Oversee the integration of the newly acquired hospital’s systems into Mission Pet Health’s Product and Technology ecosystem — including practice management software, email, file storage, and security platforms.

Manage account provisioning and access controls across all core systems (e.g., Google Workspace, O365, VPN, VoIP).

Ensure all systems are fully operational by the go-live date and provide post-onboarding support.

Deliver a comprehensive accounting of the new hospital to the Product and Technology Service Desk to allow for frictionless post-acquisition support.
Project Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the primary technology liaison between M&A, Operations, and Product and Technology Infrastructure teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute onboarding projects efficiently.

Partner with vendors, contractors, and hospital staff to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.

Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation for each acquisition.
Process Improvement & Standards

Develop and maintain a standardized technology onboarding playbook, checklists, and documentation templates.

Continuously improve onboarding workflows to reduce time-to-completion and enhance quality.

Capture lessons learned from each acquisition to drive ongoing efficiency and consistency.

Implement reporting and tracking mechanisms to monitor onboarding progress and team performance.
Incident & Risk Management

Identify potential risks or blockers in onboarding projects and drive resolution before go-live.

Coordinate escalations with Product and Technology leadership for major incidents impacting newly onboarded hospitals.

Ensure post-acquisition technical issues are documented, prioritized, and resolved promptly.
Qualifications
Required:
-
3+ years of IT project or program management experience, emphasizing multi-site technology rollouts or integrations.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, endpoints, security, SaaS platforms).

Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Experience managing small, technical teams.
Preferred:

Background in healthcare, veterinary, or other multi-location clinical environments.

Experience with M&A integrations or technology transitions.

Familiarity with Google Workspace, Office 365, practice management systems, networking appliances, end-user computing devices, and VoIP.
