Job Title: Ward Boy / Hospital Attendant

Department: Nursing / Operations
Reporting To: Nursing Supervisor / Ward In-Charge
Location: Kharghar

Job Purpose

To support nursing staff and doctors by ensuring patient comfort, cleanliness, mobility assistance, and smooth day-to-day operations within hospital wards and clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assistance

• Assist patients with mobility, including shifting patients between beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, OT, ICU, diagnostic areas, etc.
• Help patients with basic needs such as positioning, feeding support (if required), and comfort.
• Assist nurses during patient care activities as instructed.

Ward & Equipment Support

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of patient beds, wards, and surrounding areas.
• Transport medical equipment, samples, files, and reports as required.
• Assist in maintaining availability and proper placement of wheelchairs, stretchers, oxygen cylinders, etc.

Coordination & Support

• Support nursing staff during admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, nursing, and administrative teams when required.
• Follow instructions given by doctors, nurses, and supervisors promptly.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow hospital infection control protocols and hygiene standards.
• Ensure patient safety during movement and transfers.
• Report any unusual incidents, patient discomfort, or emergencies to nursing staff immediately.

General Duties

• Attend assigned duties as per shift schedule.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional behavior.
• Wear prescribed uniform and ID badge at all times.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum education: 8th / 10th pass preferred
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an added advantage
• Freshers may be considered with proper training

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of hospital environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Polite, patient, and compassionate attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work in shifts

Working Conditions

• Shift-based duties (Morning/Day/Night)
• May require working on weekends and holidays
• Physically demanding role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
