Exploration Place is looking for a dynamic Hospitality Sales Manager to lead the charge in growing our rentals, weddings, birthday parties and group hospitality experiences.

The Hospitality Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sales and promotion of Exploration Place’s rental spaces, birthday parties, and group food & beverage packages. This position focuses on cultivating leads, managing client relationships, and closing sales, with operational execution supported by the Events and Food & Beverage teams.

This is more than a sales role — it’s an opportunity to create memorable experiences for our guests while driving the growth of one of Wichita’s most unique venues.

The Hospitality Sales Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing and works closely with the Events Manager — ensuring strong support, cross-team synergy and a seamless experience for our guests.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize utilization of rental spaces, birthday party bookings, and group food & beverage sales.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new client relationships with corporations, schools, community groups, and social event planners.
  • Conduct tours and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing rental spaces and hospitality offerings.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of leads through proactive outreach, partnerships, and repeat customer engagement.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to signed agreement, ensuring clear collaboration with Event Manager, Event Supervisors, and Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Prepare contracts, proposals, and supporting correspondence in alignment with organizational policies and pricing structures.
  • Track sales activity, prepare regular reports, and monitor performance against revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create targeted campaigns and materials promoting rentals, parties, and hospitality packages.
  • Represent Exploration Place at networking, trade shows, and industry events to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Provide on-site support, as needed, during rentals/events to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
