OBON Sushi Bar Ramen is currently looking for an upbeat Host/Hostess to become part of the family at our Downtow Phoenix New Location.

Responsibilities

• Receives and greets members and guests.
• Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
• Assures that cleaning is completed as required of her area and bathrooms throughout the shift.
• Manages the guest reservation system.
• Assists with service of food and beverages when needed.
• Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed.
• Ensures that all dining room reservations taken are on the appropriate day for the appropriate time.
• Assists the staff on the floor if possible and when necessary.
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the host/hostess desk.
• Ensures that all menus are properly stored and in their proper place.
• Keeps menus clean and replaces them when needed.
• Reports complaints to Manager as soon as received.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• The Personality: A warm, outgoing "people person" who stays calm and graceful under pressure.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills. An interest in or knowledge of Japanese culture and cuisine is a huge plus!
• Professionalism: Polished appearance and punctuality are essential.
• Tech Savvy: Ability to quickly learn digital reservation systems.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Long periods of standing on hard surfaces, walking, lifting.
• Constant exposure to noise throughout the workday.
• Constant need to lift / carry materials and other supplies with little physical effort.
• The use of hands and arms to reach for, handle, feel, grasp, and manipulate objects is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.85 per hour
