LA LUPITA DALLAS

La Lupita Taco & Mezcal is a high-energy Mexican restaurant and mezcal bar born in Los Cabos, Mexico, now opening its first U.S. location in Dallas. Our philosophy is Authentic, Not Approximate — we nixtamalize our own corn, build our trompo from scratch, and serve a mezcal program rooted in real Mexican tradition.

THE ROLE

You are the first and last impression at La Lupita. Our host stand runs two roles working together: the Greeter manages reservations, assigns tables, and creates Guest Chits. The Seater escorts guests, ensures proper table setup, and delivers chits to the Front Waiter. You may fill either role depending on the shift.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Greet every guest immediately with a smile — never let anyone stand unrecognized at the host stand.

As Greeter: Manage reservations, assign tables per seating chart, complete Guest Chits for every party (name, allergies, special occasions — non-negotiable)

As Seater: Escort guests at a natural pace, remove excess settings, hand menus directly to each guest. Monitor table flow continuously—balance sections so no server gets overloaded Handle phone protocol: politely place callers on hold to acknowledge arriving guests first.

Opening: Review reservations, walk dining room, stock host stand.

Closing: Reset charts, organize menus, communicate guest issues to management.

WHAT YOU BRING

Previous host or FOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred Warm, confident personality — you make people feel welcome naturally. Organized and calm during busy service. Detail-oriented — Guest Chits must be accurate every time. Able to multitask: greeting, seating, waitlist, and phones simultaneously. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
