Job Summary
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville St Thomas is seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure a seamless dining experience. As the first point of contact, you will greet guests with enthusiasm, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and customer satisfaction. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an enjoyable visit, encouraging repeat business and fostering vibrant hospitality in a Caribbean Resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with genuine friendliness and professionalism
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest impressions
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
• Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
• Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
