The Role

Working closely with the General Manager and Front of House leadership team, the Host is responsible for managing the flow of service through thoughtful guest seating and clear communication. This role plays a critical part in shaping the guest experience from arrival to departure by delivering warm, attentive, and efficient service.


What You’ll Do
  • Manage the reservation book and seating arrangements to ensure an organized and efficient flow of service
  • Greet guests with professionalism and warmth, creating a welcoming first impression
  • Provide accurate wait times and clearly communicate updates to guests and the service team
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with guests in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Follow established steps of service to support a high-quality dining experience
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting host stand and coat check area
  • Ring in all to-go food and beverage orders and process payments accurately
  • Proactively maintain and update guest profiles and notes in the reservation system
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to support smooth and timely service
  • Maintain awareness of menu offerings, including item availability and allergy considerations
  • Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties thoroughly and efficiently

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including moving throughout the dining room and entry areas
  • Ability to lift and carry light items (menus, small packages, coats) as needed
